5 Best Weapons for Jean in Genshin Impact

Jean is one of the main characters in Genshin Impact. This article will go over 5 different weapons that Jean can use in this game, with pros and cons for each weapon.

The “best artifacts for jean” is a difficult decision. The best weapons for Jean are the ones that will help her kill the most enemies and get to the end of the level as quickly as possible.

The Acting Grandmaster of Monstadt is a flexible 5 star anemo sword user who may be played in a variety of ways. She may be used as a dps, sub-dps, or even a support character who can heal your team in a pinch on any squad. However, finding the appropriate blade for her that matches your individual play-style might be difficult while constructing her. That’s why we’re talking about Jean’s finest weapons in Genshin Impact today.

Jean’s Best Weapons: Foreword

There are many possibilities available to Jean, and none of them are awful. Unless otherwise specified, we’ll presume that each proposed weapon has been completely climbed with no refining.

Keep in mind that we’ve included 5 star and event-only weapons, so they could or might not be accessible right now. Don’t worry if you can’t obtain them; we also discuss several 4 star and non-event weapons that are always accessible.

Jean’s weapons are as follows:

Let’s go over a few things before we get into the suggestions.

Jean’s ATK is the most important metric to remember. “Dandelion Breeze,” Jean’s Elemental Burst, scales with her ATK stat. Her healing regeneration scales with her ATK, thus even support builds should prioritize it.

Keep in consideration the various components of your setup while selecting weaponry for Jean. There are a variety of ways to play her, so you may find yourself straying from the standard high ATK setup. Even if you wish to concentrate on ATK, you may not require a high ATK weapon if you have the correct artifacts.

Each 3, 4, and 5 star weapon in Genshin Impact has two stats, as we discussed in our Best Weapons for Barbara article. The main stat is usually ATK, while the secondary stat may be anything. ATK percent, CRIT DMG, CRIT Rate, DEF percent, Elemental Mastery, and Energy Recharge are all viable secondary stats for swords.

ATK percent weapons are a wonderful choice for gamers looking to make a dps or sub-spds build, but CRIT DMG and CRIT Rate weapons are also viable options. If you’re looking for a more support-oriented build, ATK percent is still a good option, but Elemental Mastery and Energy Recharge may also be effective. The one metric that Jean doesn’t seem to like is DEF percent.

Whatever you decide, you’ll find a way to make it work. Jean’s best weapons will be those that are tailored to her playstyle. Instead of focusing on the meta, concentrate on what you love playing.

Jean’s Top 5 Weapons

Let’s get into the swords now that we’re on the same page! We’ve compiled a list of five of the greatest for Jean below.

1. Sword of Sacrifice- 4 Star Sword

Sac-Sword Sacrificial Sword - best weapons for jean in genshin impact Image: miHoYo via HGG / Devin Dornbrock A ceremonial sword that has grown petrified throughout time

The Sacrificial Sword is the first item on our list.

For novices, the sacrificial weapon series is a decent choice. They’re also great for any character with a lengthy cooldown on an elemental talent. Because the Sacrificial Blade is one of the most frequent 4 star sword drops from banner wishes, it will be simple to get and refine even for free-to-play players.

Stats & Effects

At level 90, the Sacrificial Sword’s basic ATK stat rises to 454 as a 4 star weapon. At level 90, the secondary stat of the Sacrificial Sword enhances Energy Recharge by 61.3 percent. Although it is a little low for an ATK number, the Energy Recharge compensates by being rather high.

Keep in mind, however, that the effect of this weapon, not its stats, is the main reason to use it.

The finest part of this weapon is yet to come. After doing damage with an Elemental Skill, the effect “Composed” has a chance to terminate the user’s Elemental Skill cooldown. A 40 percent possibility occurs every 30 seconds at refinement level one, whereas an 80 percent chance occurs every 16 seconds at refinement level five.

Because there are few options to reduce Elemental Skill cooldowns at the moment, the Sacrificial weapon series (which all have similar effects) is ideal for players that depend on them. The ability to reduce or eliminate skill cooldowns in areas like the Spiral Abyss or domains that extend them is crucial.

Jean can take away dense clusters of foes by terminating skill cooldowns. When fighting monsters, being able to use her ability “Gale Blade” many times in a row helps a lot in terms of giving your group some breathing space.

Because to the sword’s improved Energy Recharge, you’ll be able to utilize Jean’s burst more often. We don’t advocate getting too high on the Energy Recharge since the Sacrificial Sword does nothing to reduce burst cooldowns.

Drawbacks

The most important reason to avoid using the Sacrificial Sword is because it is rather simple. It doesn’t increase DMG output significantly, and it doesn’t have a very high ATK stat. It is one of the few sword choices that increases Energy Recharge, and it is one of the greatest Energy Recharge enhancing weapons available, although it isn’t the most essential stat for most sword users.

What’s vital to understand is that the major function of the Sacrificial Sword is directly linked to Elemental Skill. Elemental Bursts are unaffected by “Composed,” which inhibits both dps and support builds that rely on burst damage and healing.

That isn’t to say that the Sacrificial Sword isn’t a fine pick; it’s simply that there are other options that work better with Jean’s powers.

Ascend the Sacrificial Sword to its full potential.

To fully climb the Sacrificial Sword, you’ll need the following items:

  • Mora (150k)
  • Dandelion Gladiator’s 3 Fetters (2 star material)
  • Dandelion Gladiator’s 9 Chains (3 star material)
  • Dandelion Gladiator’s 9 Shackles (4 star material)
  • 4 Dandelion Gladiator’s Dream (5 star material)
  • 15 Device of Chaos (2 star enemy drop)
  • 18 Circuit of Chaos (3 star enemy drop)
  • 27 Core of Chaos (4 star enemy drop)
  • 10 Scrolls of Divination (1 star enemy drop)
  • 15 Scrolls that have been sealed (2 star enemy drop)
  • 18 Scrolls of the Forbidden (3 star enemy drop)

2. 4 Star Sword Amenoma Kaguechi

Amenoma Amenoma Image: miHoYo via HGG / Devin Dornbrock | Custom crafted for a renown samurai who could dispatch a tenge fighter

The Amenoma Kaguechi sword is our sole forgeable sword, making it the greatest alternative for free-to-play gamers who don’t want to spend their primos and wishes on weapons. It’s also a good weapon that can be used in a variety of ways, much like Jean. It works with a variety of construction kinds and isn’t very difficult to utilize.

Stats & Effects

The Amenoma Kaguechi’s basic ATK is 454 points, which is about average for a four-star sword. Fortunately, the secondary stat is ATK percent, which greatly enhances its total ATK. It increases the character’s ATK by 55.1 percent when they reach level 90. Jean, whose Burst scales with ATK, will find this quite useful.

“Iwakura Succession” is the major effect for the Amenoma Kaguechi after the ATK rise. After utilizing an Elemental Skill up to once per 5 seconds, the effect gives 1 Succession Seed. Each Seed has a 30-second duration and may be stacked up to three times. Seeds are eaten after using an Elemental Burst, and each seed consumed generates 6 energy.

The quantity of energy supplied by consumed Succession Seeds increases up to 12 energy per seed at higher refining stages. Most Jean builds benefit from the extra energy since it enables for more frequent bursts.

While physical DMG dps builds will benefit less from the energy, most builds will be support or anemo dps.

The Amenoma Kaguechi might be the solution for gamers who weren’t thrilled by the Sacrificial Sword owing to its lack of Burst support. Its ability to generate energy with Elemental Skill usage helps compensate for poor Energy Recharge numbers, while the major attributes improve Burst damage and healing directly via ATK.

Drawbacks

Long the Amenoma Kaguechi is a free-to-play game, new players will have to wait a while to get their hands on it. The blueprint for forging, as well as the resources required for climbing, are exclusively accessible in Inazuma. That implies gamers will have to go far enough in the game to unlock it, which will take some time.

It will take some time to gather the forging ingredients for the Amenoma Kaguechi, since each blade requires:

  • 500 Mora
  • 1 Sword Billet from the Northlanders
  • 50 Lumps of Amethyst
  • 50 Chunks of White Iron

Billets are the most difficult resource to get, since they can only be obtained by killing weekly bosses and purchasing them from With Wind Comes Glory (Marjorie’s store in Monstadt). Only one sword billet is available from Marjorie’s store, therefore bosses will provide the bulk of billets.

Players will have plenty of time to amass sword billets while progressing far enough in the game to get the blueprint.

Complete the Amenoma Kaguechi

To Complete the Amenoma Kaguechi you will need:

  • Mora (150k)
  • 3 A Faraway Sea’s Coral Branch (2 star material)
  • 9 A Distant Sea’s Jeweled Branch (3 star material)
  • 9 A Jade Branch from a Faraway Sea (4 star material)
  • 4 A Distant Sea’s Golden Branch (5 star material)
  • 15 Pieces of Chaos Gear (2 star enemy drop)
  • 18 Axis of Chaos (3 star enemy drop)
  • 27 Oculus of Chaos (4 star enemy drop)
  • 10 Handguards from the Past (1 star enemy drop)
  • Handguard (15 Kageuchi) (2 star enemy drop)
  • 18 Legendary Handguard (3 enemy drop)

3. 4 Star Sword – Festering Desire

Festering-Desire Festering Desire- 4 Star Sword - best weapons for Jean in Genshin Impact It pours with a shriveling poison capable of corrupting even the most powerful dragon| Image: miHoYo through HGG / Devin Dornbrock

Festering Desire is a four-star sword that most players will not be able to get. It was only available for a limited period during the Chalk Prince and the Dragon event in December of 2020.

We strongly advise obtaining it if it ever reappears in an event or in a weapons banner.

Stats & Effects

Festering Desire has a greater ATK stat than some of the other weapons on our list, even as a 4 star weapon. It has a basic ATK of 510 at level 90. Energy Recharge, the secondary stat, is significantly less spectacular, with a maximum of 45.9%. While less expensive than other Energy Recharge alternatives, it’s still not bad.

The sword’s major effect, “Undying Admiration,” enhances Elemental Skill DMG by 16 percent and Elemental Skill CRIT Rate by 6 percent for players who are fortunate enough to have received it. The DMG of skill 5 is enhanced by 32%, while the CRIT Rate of skill 5 is increased by 12%.

The increased skill damage and CRIT Rate are ideal for dps and sub-dps builds that like to depend on the AoE of Jean’s skill rather than bursts.

While the effect of Festering Desire doesn’t do much for Jean’s Elemental Burst, it does increase her skill damage, which most players will use much more anyway. Especially when confronted with a huge number of foes.

It’s a basic weapon that works well for both beginner and veteran players in terms of boosting DMG production. Hilichurls should be wary in the hands of a character like Jean.

Drawbacks

As previously said, Festering Desire was only accessible for a brief time in 2020, therefore the major disadvantage is that it is presently unavailable for purchase or refinement.

Aside from the difficulty of obtaining the blade, Festering Desire is designed for builds that primarily depend on and use Elemental Skills. Energy Recharge is helpful for utilizing Elemental Bursts and such, but the blade’s primary function is linked to skill damage and skill CRITs.

That means, like the Sacrificial Sword, it’s not particularly useful for players looking to boost the effect of Jean’s Burst.

Ascend to the peak of the festering desire

To Ascend to the peak of the festering desire you will need:

  • Mora (150k)
  • Dandelion Gladiator’s 3 Fetters (2 star material)
  • Dandelion Gladiator’s 9 Chains (3 star material)
  • Dandelion Gladiator’s 9 Shackles (4 star material)
  • 4 Dandelion Gladiator’s Dream (5 star material)
  • Heavy Horn (#15) (2 star enemy drop)
  • 18 horns, black bronze (3 star enemy drop)
  • 27 Crystal Black Horn (4 star enemy drop)
  • Insignia of 10 Recruits (1 star enemy drop)
  • Sergeant’s Insignia (number 15) (2 star enemy drop)
  • Lieutenant’s Insignia (number 18) (3 star enemy drop)

4. Sword of Freedom-Sworn – 5 Star

Freedom-Sworn-1024x531 Freedom-Sworn As fervent as the freedom pledges given in the Land of Wind| Image: miHoYo through HGG / Devin Dornbrock

The Freedom-Sworn is a five-star blade that can perform wonders with Jean if she’s constructed properly. It’s a powerful weapon that works well with a team designed to take advantage of Elemental Reactions.

It may not be accessible right now since it is only available in a few banners, but if you have the opportunity, it is definitely worth the primos. It’s unquestionably one of Jean’s greatest weapons in Genshin Impact right now.

Stats & Effects

Elemental Mastery is the supplementary stat for the Freedom-Sworn after their original basic ATK of 608 at level 90. Elemental Mastery will grow by 198 points when Freedom-Sworn is completely leveled, which may not seem like much, but it will make a significant impact in Elemental Reaction damage.

The major impact of the Freedom-Sworn, “Revolutionary Chorale,” is the most sophisticated of our suggestions for the greatest weapons for Jean. When the weapon causes an Elemental Reaction, it enhances DMG by 10% and awards the wielder a Sigil of Rebellion. All party members acquire “Millennial Movement: Song of Resistance” for 12 seconds after obtaining two sigils.

Characters with “Millennial Movement: Song of Resistance” have a 16 percent boost in normal, charged, and plummeting DMG, as well as a 20 percent increase in regular ATK. All ATK and DMG boosts are boosted at higher refining levels.

As a result, this is an excellent weapon for a support character and a consistent stat boost for other members of your party. When coupled with another dps character, Jean with the Freedom-Sworn may inflict a lot of damage, particularly via Elemental Reactions.

Elemental Mastery and ATK should be prioritized for Jeans equipped with the Freedom-Sworn. Elemental Reactions provide the most benefits from the sword, therefore boosting the damage they deliver is also a good idea. This reduces the DMG delivered by Bursts somewhat, but it’s worth it.

Drawbacks

The major disadvantage, like with most 5 star weapons, is that it is a 5 star weapon. That implies it’s more difficult to gain, more difficult to climb, and requires more resources to grind in general. Furthermore, using the Freedom-full Sworn’s potential requires a highly specialized construction.

Elemental Reactions-focused builds will be the most successful with this weapon. This involves putting more effort into getting artifacts with Elemental Mastery while still paying attention to ATK. This is a difficult balance to strike, and it is not suggested for inexperienced players.

Ascend to the summit of the Freedom-Sworn

To Ascend to the summit of the Freedom-Sworn you will need:

  • Mora, 225k
  • The Dandelion Gladiator’s 5 Fetters (2 star material)
  • The Dandelion Gladiator’s 14 Chains (3 star material)
  • The Dandelion Gladiator’s 14 Shackles (4 star material)
  • 6 Dandelion Gladiator’s Dream (5 star material)
  • 23 Device of Chaos (2 star enemy drop)
  • 27 Circuit of Chaos (3 star enemy drop)
  • 41 Core of Chaos (4 star enemy drop)
  • 15 Scrolls of Divination (1 star enemy drop)
  • 23 Scrolls that have been sealed (2 star enemy drop)
  • Scrolls of the Forbidden (3 star enemy drop)

5. 5 Star Sword: Primordial Jade Cutter

When used appropriately, the Primordial Jade Cutter is one of Jean’s greatest weapons, since it can be utilized with both her support and dps setups. It’s a powerful weapon that provides the user excellent stats and stat enhancements.

When it comes to choosing a sword for Jean, you won’t be able to find a better alternative.

Stats & Effects

The Base ATK of a fully leveled Primordial Jade Cutter is 542, which is rather high. That’s before you factor in the CRIT Rate secondary metric. When completely leveled, the user’s CRIT Rate increases by 44.1 percent.

The major effect of this weapon is “Protector’s Virtue,” which boosts the user’s HP by 20% after the first ATK and CRIT Rate rises. It also gives a 1.2 percent ATK bonus dependent on the user’s Max HP.

CRIT Rate artifacts (the primary technique to enhance CRIT Rate) might be difficult to come by, therefore the CRIT Rate is really useful. The HP-based ATK increase is also a nice small boost. On top of the standard 542, even low HP Jean builds may easily get an extra 200+ ATK.

The Primordial Jade Cutter is a powerful weapon that can turn any Jean build into a real threat, regardless of playstyle. There are no sigils or seeds to take care of, unlike our previous weapon choices for Jean. There aren’t any sporadic surges that you’ll forget about.

This sword is suitable for both dps and support builds, and is user-friendly regardless of skill level. It will always do a lot of damage and demolish any adversary that happens to cross your path.

Drawbacks

The Primordial Jade Cutter’s biggest disadvantage is that it is a limited-edition weapon. It has great stats and excellent effects, but it is also difficult to get. It has only been featured in three banners as of version 2.6, therefore most players are unlikely to have it and will have a difficult time obtaining it.

The cost of Ascension materials will be more than 4 star alternatives, although this is a lower impediment for dedicated players than actually obtaining it.

Overall, the Primordial Jade Cutter is one of Jean’s most powerful weapons while yet allowing for a simpler construction. The other weapons on our list will still operate, but they will take longer and need more effort to attain the same level of efficiency.

Ascend the Primordial Jade Cutter to its full potential.

To fully climb the Primordial Jade Cutter, you’ll need the following items:

  • Mora, 225k
  • Elixir of 5 Mist Veiled Leads (2 star material)
  • Mercury, the Mist Veiled (3 star material)
  • Mist Veiled Gold Elixir (14 Mist Veiled Gold Elixir) (4 star material)
  • 6 Primo Elixir with Mist Veil (5 star material)
  • Pollen from Mist Grass (2 star enemy drop)
  • 27 Grass of Mist (3 star enemy drop)
  • Mist Grass Wick (No. 41) (4 star enemy drop)
  • 15 Insignia of a Treasure Hoarder (1 star enemy drop)
  • 23 Raven Insignia in Silver (2 star enemy drop)
  • 27 Insignia of the Golden Raven (3 star enemy drop)
