Albion is a game that has been in development for a while and finally in this month it was released. Since then, players are eager to explore what Albion has to offer. The game offers a huge open world for players to explore and customize. There are many areas to explore and enjoy, some are just inaccessible, others are available from the beginning but locked, but others are available from beginning but only after reaching a certain level of experience. This guide will help players to unlock these islands and explore them without spending real money to do so.
Albion Online is a sandbox MMO which has an absolutely insane amount of content to explore and things to do. But that is only the tip of the iceberg.
Albion Online is an online action-adventure role-playing game developed by British indie studio Sandbox Interactive. The game was released on 24th January 2015.
The player islands in Albion Online are very useful for several reasons. Today we’re going to cover everything you need to know about player islands, from buying an island to moving it to another location, to upgrading and leaving islands. Whether you’re completely new to Albion Online or have been playing for hundreds of hours, this guide will give you useful information to help you get the most out of Player’s Island.
There are two types of islands that are created by the players: Player Islands and Guild Islands. Your own private island is great because you have everything you need in Albion Online in one place. These are buildings, craft stations and good old fashioned farming that can make you rich if you know how to use them properly.
Player islands are PvP-free and only the owner has access to them, unless he chooses to allow other players access.
All of the players’ islands on Albion Online have the same location for buildings, but it is up to the player to decide whether or not to place buildings on their island. Honestly, I will never understand why some players want few or no buildings on their islands. After all, it’s much safer to have everything on your own island than to travel from town to town with your resources and come back with everything you’ve produced, with the risk of losing everything along the way. Also, cities charge taxes for the use of craft stations and other facilities, whereas if you own your own facility, you can use it at any time without paying too much tax. How do you get your own island?
Instead of buying a random island, do your research and find a strategic location for your island. That way you can save yourself a lot of unnecessary travel. Once you’ve chosen a location, it’s time to visit the island’s dealer. You can find them in any major city, but you can also go to the nearest one. Players must activate a 30-day bonus if they want their own island. Bonuses can be purchased in real money or in-game currency in the Albion Online store. Don’t worry, you don’t have to activate Premium to save the island. Once you buy it, it’s yours forever, regardless of your premium status, and you can use and enhance it as you please.
Construction work on our island
After buying a player’s island in Albion Online, you don’t have to worry about emptying the island, because it will be emptied automatically after unlocking the site. Now let’s talk about creating buildings on your island! To do this, right click on the portrait in the top left corner of the screen and select Build. Or, if you’re lazy/practical like me, press the H key on your keyboard. You can now choose between four different tabs: Housing, military, business and agriculture. Image by Sandbox Interactive
In the Houses tab, you have two options: House and Guild House, the latter of which can only be built on Guild Islands. A player’s house has several functions. First of all, you can use it for storage by putting a box in it. Second, you can place it in your home and teleport to it after you die. Finally, you can use the house to earn money with the help of workers, who are NPCs stationed in the house. What do these workers do? Well, they give you journals, and if you do the tasks in each journal, it fills up. When it’s completely full, just give it back to the worker and he’ll go out into the world to repeat what you did, then come back to you with resources and money.
In the Warcraft tab, you’ll find the warrior forge, the mage tower, and the hunter’s hut. In the Warrior Forge, the player can craft all types of armor and weapons. In the wizard’s tower you can make cloth armour and magic weapons. Finally, in the hunter’s hut, leather armour and distance weapons can be made.
Economy Class building
The commercial buildings include sawmills, foundries, tanneries, weaving mills, toolmakers, masons and repair stations. It’s pretty easy to guess what each building does: The sawmill turns tree trunks into planks of wood, the smelter turns ore into metal ingots, the tannery turns animal skins into leather, and so on. It’s simple: You take your raw materials and turn them into something useful.
Last but not least, there is the farm building. There is an alchemical laboratory, a mill, a farm, an herb garden, a cook, a butcher, a slaughterhouse, a meadow and a kennel. As for the economy class buildings, their name speaks for itself. And my friends, I advise you not to underestimate the power of these farm buildings, for they can make you very rich if you use them well.
Demolition of building
Islands have limited space, so there is no room for unnecessary buildings. If you decide that the building is no longer worth keeping, you can use the Demolition option in the Building menu. You get 90% of your investment back. WARNING: Do NOT use a jackhammer! Otherwise, you will not get back the money you invested in the building.
Improvement of your island
Updating the island is very fast and takes only two minutes per update. Just go to an island dealer in a big city and buy an upgrade. With each upgrade, you get extra areas to build, which is great. Game Islands can be upgraded from level 1 to level 6, and the cost of each upgrade is shown below: These are the current prices without the global discount, but they may change due to new updates to the game. Right now, if you were to buy an island in Albion Online and fully upgrade it, it would cost you 9,506,250 silver, not including the money you would spend on resources to construct the buildings you want to build on your island.
Leave your island or move
From time to time, players want to change locations. This can be done in two ways: You can move your island to another location or leave it and found a new island elsewhere.
Transfer to Island
Moving from your island to another location can sometimes be done for free. This is a very temporary feature that usually only occurs when there is a significant change in the map. For example, for 30 days after the launch of the Call to Arms update, players were allowed to completely move their islands without tearing down or moving anything within the island.
Leaving the island
To leave your island, contact the merchant from whom you purchased the island and select the Leave option. But before you leave the island, don’t forget to tear everything down and return the invested funds! You don’t have to worry about spending a lot of money again to upgrade your next island, because when you buy a new island, you get a pre-upgrade of your previous island at no extra cost.
