The next installment in the popular series will launch this summer with an open world and online co-op for up to four players. The game has a heavy focus on exploration, story, and combat; it is set 500 years after Final Fantasy XV when things have gone awry due to climate change.
The “final fantasy 16 release date” is the release date for Final Fantasy XVI. It will be launching in summer 2023.
Square Enix revealed that Final Fantasy XVI would be released on the PlayStation 5 in the summer of 2023 at yesterday’s State of Play.
According to Naoki Yoshida, Producer of FINAL FANTASY XVI: THE KINGDOM OF GODS,
“The current teaser provides gamers a better idea of what to expect in terms of gameplay. Specifically, high-octane encounters with Clive Rosfield wielding a complete array of attacks specific to the game’s several Eikons (summons). Not to mention dramatic battles amongst the Eikons that put you right in the middle of the action.” Yoshida Naoki
Director Hiroshi Takai of FINAL FANTASY XVI added:
“We’ve introduced numerous new Eikons in our newest teaser, as well as given a more thorough look at our action-packed fighting system and the flexibility it provides players. As for production progress, I’m delighted to report that the game is entirely playable from beginning to end; however, there are still a pile of hurdles to overcome as we move into our last push, from optimization to brush-up. Please remain tuned till then. We’ll do all we can to make sure you don’t have to wait too long for our next update!” Takai Hiroshi
Yoshida went on to say:
“The team, led by Hiroshi Takai, has reached the last stage of development and is concentrating on polish as they prepare for launch. We’re hoping to send you on a seamless, story-driven, white-knuckle experience that will match even the most exhilarating roller-coaster, thanks to the capabilities of the PlayStation®5 platform.
