Request a refund through the Steam client
If you bought a game on Steam that you’re not happy with, you can request a refund through the Steam client.
To do this, first launch the Steam client and sign in to your account. Then, click on the “Account” tab at the top of the window and select “Purchases” from the drop-down menu.
Scroll through your purchase history until you find the game you want to refund, then click on the “Details” button. On the next page, click on the “I would like a refund” link.
You’ll be taken to a new page where you can select your reason for requesting a refund, then click on the “Submit Request” button. Steam will review your request and process the refund if it is approved.
Request a refund on the Steam community forums
If you purchased a game on Steam that you later decided you don’t want, you can request a refund on the Steam community forums. You’ll need to provide proof of purchase and your reason for requesting a refund. Once your refund is processed, you’ll no longer have access to the game.
