QuakeCon 2021: Skyrim’s anniversary edition, Elder Scrolls Online Waking Flame, Fallout 76’s Fallout Worlds

Bethesda announces the release of Skyrim’s anniversary edition, Elder Scrolls Online’s Waking Flame, and Fallout 76’s new game mode.

While most gamers are concerned with the major Skyrim news at QuakeCon – that Skyrim would get its 14th edition, the Skyrim anniversary edition, on November 11th, along with several excellent mods — our audience will be laser-focused on Bethsoft’s multiplayer announcements.

The Waking Flame DLC, along with Update 31, will be released for PC early next week, but the console version will be postponed until September, according to Elder Scrolls Online. We didn’t learn anything new, since we already know what Waking Flame and its side patch involve, but the developers did advertise a strange guitar giveaway with metal band Trivium, who would allegedly “premiere a brand-new ESO-inspired music video” on September 30th.

The Waking Flame console isn’t the only item coming on September 8th for gamers: Bethsoft is also releasing Fallout Worlds for Fallout 76 on the same day. Fallout Worlds is essentially a specialized server system for the game; it will enable Bethsoft to develop unique rulesets and server types for the community, as well as allowing paying users to customize their own private servers, as we previously discussed.
