World of Warcraft is one of the most popular MMORPGs in history and recently announced that it will be releasing its newest expansion, Battle for Azeroth, later this month. In the game’s latest patch notes, World of Warcraft revealed new features including flying mounts and catch-up systems to allow players who missed out on some gear during a different time period to still use their old pieces.
Blizzard has released a new patch for World of Warcraft. The patch promises easier flight in Zereth Mortis and preps gear catch-up system.
On the public test realm, World of Warcraft’s Patch 9.2 is gaining momentum, with players and developers alike anticipating the debut of the new zone, Zereth Mortis. The PTR revealed one welcome adjustment for this forthcoming realm: Blizzard revised its thoughts about how tough it will be to get flying there.
“After receiving criticism that access to Zereth Mortis Flying was taking too long, we’ve taken the decision to make it easier to unlock flying by completing a set of milestones centered on Zereth Mortis rather than studying Cyphers of the First Ones,” the company stated.
The purchase of set pieces from bosses is another major alteration in the works. To ensure that players see more set pieces, Blizzard is developing a separate loot table for them (which will drop as tokens to help distribute gear better). However, two months following Patch 9.2, a new system called the Creation Catalyst will be released, allowing players to manufacture set gear from cosmic flux as a catch-up technique.
Meanwhile, the Battle for Mount Hyjal and Black Temple raids, as well as the Netherwing daily quest center, were released this week in the Burning Crusade Classic.
